Menopause is the culmination of a menopausal woman. Menopause is reached when menstruation stops completely, usually 55 years, sometimes 40 years of age. Commonly called the change of life, menopause is physical and psychological changes that vary in size and the effects they have on women.
Hot flashes were reported as 75% of women in the years around the menopause itself.
Decreased estrogen causes bone loss in about 25% of whites, Asians and Hispanic women. African-American Women have a low risk for this effect, while smoking and the thin women have a higher risk.
One obvious consequence of menopause is infertility.
Menopause is natural, is neither a physical or mental disorders. For some women, especially in the United States, menopause means decreasing sexual attractiveness and femininity.
Some women lose interest in sexual activity due to a combination of vaginal changes and concerns about femininity and attractiveness.
Many women welcome menopause as the liberation of dealing with menstruation and contraception and may be more interested in sexual activity.
The treatments are readily available as the physical symptoms of menopause are distressing. There is much controversy as to whether estrogen replacement for menopause symptoms, since estrogen has been associated with an increased risk of breast cancer or endometrial (uterine lining). Women without risk factors for breast cancer, estrogen may be safe, especially if they are less than five years.
Other ways to manage symptoms of menopause are satisfactory for many women. Exercise and a diet low in fat contribute to increased cholesterol is associated with increased risks of cardiovascular control after menopause.
Many women find practical solutions effectively.
